SP-SSA INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL (SSIT) would like to announce that we are currently recruiting Workshop Shift/ Maintenance Supervisor.

PURPOSE

• Responsible for the supervision and monitoring of the subcontractors handling technical repairs
  and maintenance of all terminal equipment, engines, generators, support services equipment,
  vehicles, etc.
• Coordinates and monitors the preventative and corrective maintenance activities carried out by
  the Contractor in order to achieve maximum availability of equipment and a reduction in
  maintenance costs.
• Monitors and updates the equipment status to propose the maintenance plan to ensure the
  equipment in good reliability condition for using.

CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Education:

• Requires a College/ University degree in Mechanical, Electrical engineering. An additional training in both electrical and mechanical fields in any heavy industries is preferred.

Experience:

• Requires at least five to seven years of general supervisory experience in general maintenance section in any ports, mines, steel and manufacturing plants. Must have specific knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical and related subjects. Have experience in maintenance for port equipment is an advan

Specific Knowledge:

• Requires knowledge of wide range of electrical equipment, industrial control systems, variable drive systems, and mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems and their controls.
• Requires knowledge and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics, service & parts manuals for various equipment. Must be able to interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications.

Skills:

• Ability to work under pressure
• Computer literate
• Must be able to exercise good judgment in order to set priorities.
• Knowledge of general supervisory principles.
• Tact, diplomacy required to deal with internal customer (operations) and staff in stressful situations and provide confident assurance.
• Self-confidence and ability to work independently.
• Capable of conducting technical training.
